A Fine French Provincial Cherry Four Door Cupboard, Poitou Region, early 19th century. Understandably, it is very difficult to pinpoint with certitude regional French furniture. However, this wonderful four door cupboard, separated by two central drawers, is typical of those produced in the Poitou valley. See Gerard Aubisse's "Le Mobilier: Vendee, Poitou, Charentes" Plate 45, which is very similar in all respects to this example
